Illinois Biology & Politics Summer Institute (IBPSI)
Political science professor Ira Carmen and integrative biology professor Gene Robinson have received funding from the National Science Foundation for an Illinois Biology and Politics Summer Institute. Hosted by the Institute for Genomic Biology and the Department of Political Science, the institute will convene from July 6-9, 2009 and will provide an expense-free intensive instructional program for graduate students and younger faculty from around the country emphasizing connections among research programs in genetics, neuroscience, and political science. The teaching faculty will include Professors Carmen and Robinson, Stephanie Ceman, Martha Gillette, John Hibbing, and Justin Rhodes.
